The Apostle Paul encourages generous help for the needy and was diligent in gathering funds for them wherever he went (Galatians 2:10). The collection taken during each of our church services is for the needy. These funds are distributed to the needy within the congregation. Other worthy causes are also supported, e.g. local community relief organizations. In addition, our deacons provide funds for national and international causes such as Canadian Reformed World Relief Fund, Mission Aid Brazil, and disaster relief efforts when emergencies occur.
By means of regular voluntary contributions or tithes, church members provide financial support to various church-related areas: the Ministry of the Word (pastor), maintenance of the church building, Mission (missionaries in Brazil and Prince George), and church federation commitments (theological seminary; classes and synods).
